According to Wikipedia, "Blogs differs from Wikis by the content that is created without any defined owner or leader, and wikis have little implicit structure, allowing structure to emerge according to the needs of the users." The way I understand the difference is looking at Wikis as a page that is constantly edited for accuracy on a subjective topic, while blogs are a thread of ideas of individuals giving their opinions across a platform such Reddit.
These different virtual worlds can be used in a few atmospheres such as social, gaming, and healthcare. In the New York Times, Dave Itzkoff says he was able to leave the jam-packed club and enter it virtually when he arrived home, almost like Grand Theft Auto, except its way more realistic. One problem that I foresee is that virtual reality becoming too addicting for introverts or those who are just lazy to go out and enjoy the natural sunlight, which would then lead an even higher increase in obesity. However, there are some benefits to virtual reality as well like connecting with an old college classmate that's now in Europe while you're still in the U.S. In addition, this might be good for disabled people who don't have the mobility to travel from place to place.
